You will uncover why acceptance is more powerful than you might think. It leads to transformation. 

Just as with anything that affects our lives in one way or another, a mindset of acceptance can hugely impact your weight loss results and I will show you how to get started on this.

 

Day 3: E.A.T. 

The Triggers That Keep You Stuck In The Cycle Of Overeating

You will learn what the internal and external triggers of eating are and how they undermine your weight loss efforts.

For example: When people feel stressed or tired, they may rely on food for comfort. This is an internal trigger related to feeling stressed or tired.

External triggers come from your environment. An example of this is: Walking into the bakery shop to buy bread and then smelling the sweet aroma of freshly baked cakes wafting through the shop and suddenly you are craving a piece of cake.

We will go deeper into this. I will show you how to recognize the triggers that hijack your weight loss efforts so you can start making some changes right now!

About My Personal Weight Loss Challenges…

I have to confess…

Diets failed me so many times.

This was how it was for me for 8 years… until 12 years ago.

I was overweight and struggled to shed my excess pounds.

I was regularly teased by family members about my weight, and this made me feel guilty, ashamed, and embarrassed. They didn’t stop to think about how their unkind comments hurt my feelings.

This was when I felt so bad about myself that I climbed on the rollercoaster ride of undereating and overeating. Sound familiar?

I would starve, detach from my body’s hunger signals and restrict the food I ate. My body experienced deprivation to the point that it was starving.

When I inevitably failed on these diets, I would automatically return to my old overeating habits and gain even more weight.

These behaviors became a vicious cycle for me. I felt like a failure, and I had no long-term success.

After a number of years and much struggle, I realized that food restrictions and deprivation just didn’t work.

Eventually, I figured out how to shed pounds without cycling between restrictive dieting and overeating.

I never imagined that I could shed excess pounds, attain a healthy weight and keep it off.

In the past 12 years, I have done exactly that.

I have learned how to achieve food freedom!

The frustration and discouragement I felt over 8 years, struggling to lose weight, led me to choose a career as a registered Dietician.

I could finally help people get off the rollercoaster and get to their desired results :-)

I have been to numerous dieticians. I actually picked up more weight. Due to the fact that I don’t like someone telling me what to eat or do. In other words I did not ‘buy into’ the explanations of a Healthier lifestyle, that they were trying to help me with.

Tanya’s TYHN program explained lifelong unanswered questions. It is supportive and not forceful, she explained it clearly, so that I could understand the Importance of Breaking a Bad Habit – Or trying to live 80% better.

I avoided dieticians as (due to my profession) I “knew” what to eat and what not and carried on with what I thought was right…
